How to rent a car from a progressive rental car provider
PITTSBURGH (AP) A progressive rental service in Pensacola is making some changes to its policy after a man claimed he was refused a car because of his race.
The Pensacolans Progressive Rentals website says that while they do not discriminate against anyone, they are not allowed to rent to people who have a disability, are black or Latino, or are LGBTQ.
The site says that they will no longer rent to anyone with a history of mental illness.
The policy is in place for two reasons, the company says.
One is that people with mental health conditions are already being denied car rentals in the city.
The other is that many people are reluctant to rent because of concerns about the rental companies health and safety.
The company says it’s a step in the right direction to make it easier for people to rent cars.
The policies website says:Our goal is to be a place where people feel safe and at home.
That’s why we offer a variety of rental car services to help you find the perfect fit.
If you’re looking for a great car rental, our team is here to help.
